"Twilght Totoro" is a more classic look for anime, I guess. I did it for ASMAC (After School Art and Music Classes). I turned it into a clock later.
Its Fanart of "My Neighbour Totoro" by Hayao Miyazaki*.

Media clockwise from top left: black sharpie marker; oil pastels; graphite(pencil); acrylic paint. A reference picture was used! So I take no credit for the composition other than redrawing and such.
17x22 inches (43.18x55.88cm)---This is one of my portfolio pieces.

The Totoro clock got broken a little, but I can photograph it later and post it.

Hayao Miyazaki is the creator of many successful anime movies. I watched Spirited Away which was written and directed by him and I loved it! I recommend that movie to anyone who doesn't know what anime is. Spirited Away has amazing scenery and the characters are so loveable. Little things they do, like their mannerisms and the way they move feels very real. It's a family movie and both adults and children will find it enjoyable (it's not one of those cheesy family movies)...

This is another portfolio piece. It was originally done as an 'art trade' (exchange of giftart).

I was getting more comfortable with the colour testing I had done previously. I tried out smoothe transitions between like colours (wings and halo) using only the pen tool without any blending teqniques for the hair. I tried to take care and pay attention to detail (esp. shoes). I'm proud of this, so I'm selling it as a glossy 8.5 x 11 print.
