Art and Business

Here's an incredible article about art and business: [link]
If either of those interests you (whether you own a business or would like to make a career of art), it's definitely worth reading. In fact, especially if you're in any way connected with a corporation, it is an incredibly informative read.
It should help close the gap between the two vocations and hopefully reduce the stigmas/stereotypes/condescension(from businesses concerning the importance of art and the role design plays in how well a company does)

I found it really interesting. In fact, the whole site is quite interesting (aiga.org)♥

check it out! :)

Somebody on DA put up this link: http://www.posemaniacs.com/blog/
30 second drawing (you can do different amounts of time and other things as well). It's an interesting activity in anatomy study. I got addicted XD
It's supposed to be training your eyes and hands or some mumbo jumbo. I think it probably helps. Obviously it's not going to be making any immediate drastic changes (as with everything in art)
I didn't bother scanning the sketches, but they're not detailed or anything (you only have 30 seconds to draw!!) Some poses are more difficult than others, but it's a fun little activity anyway.

Um.. other stuff: I've changed the layout for my section of the website I have going with my friends: http://www.freewebs.com/bahanimation/pyropanda.html
I added new pictures there too. I'm not going to bother posting all of them here too 'cause I don't feel like bothering to upload (so lazy >_< ;; maybe later)

I've still got a bit of an art block, but I'm drawing through it like I always do. Instead of not being able to draw and having ideas, I feel like I can draw stuff, but the ideas have all just left me @_@; hmm. Dunno which is worse.. probably the former (more frustrating) There's always something to draw. You could redo an old picture or do a cliché subject (like zodiac something for example)

ANYWAY! TO THE ART!

Painting the murals on Starbucks

Nikki
23rd November 2007
My ART 220 class painted two murals for the new Starbucks (Oakes Field)
I only have pictures of the first one.

Apparently this is the FIRST time something like this has been done at ANY Starbucks location! Usually they buy 'ready-made'/wholesale pictures.
We're in the papers and everything; pretty cool.
